Marudhamalai Temple Lift Facility to be Operational by August: Minister P.K. Sekarbabu

A lift facility at the Marudhamalai Subramanya Swamy Temple in Coimbatore, constructed at a cost of ₹5.20 crore, will be inaugurated in August, said P.K. Sekarbabu, Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments. The facility will improve accessibility for visitors, particularly senior citizens and persons with disabilities, covering a height of 17.1 metres to the temple. The Minister also revealed plans for a 184-foot-tall Murugan statue and a new polytechnic college in the vicinity. Additionally, infrastructure developments including the installation of lifts and construction of a bus stand-cum-parking facility are in progress to enhance the overall temple experience. The Minister's recent visit included overseeing consecration ceremonies at local temples and inaugurating completed works at the Perur Pateeswarar Temple, demonstrating the government's commitment to enhancing religious and cultural sites in the region.
