A group of Congress leaders and workers in Andhra Pradesh have accused APCC president Y.S. Sharmila Reddy of engaging in anti-party activities and neglecting party workers and senior leaders. They claim that Sharmila has ignored those who worked hard to revive the party in the state and allege that she is not interested in strengthening the party but is focused on settling family disputes with her brother, former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. The leaders and workers have raised concerns about the allocation of party funds and instances where they had to use personal funds for party activities. Former working president of APCC, Sunkara Padmasree, has written to AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge detailing Sharmila's alleged anti-party activities. Padmasree also accused Sharmila of aligning with rival parties to settle personal scores. She highlighted Sharmila's statements against top Congress leaders and her lack of effort in strengthening the party in Kadapa district, leading to senior Congress workers leaving the party. During a meeting with party leader Killi Kruparani, the leaders and cadre shared their grievances, hoping for intervention from the party's leadership to address the issue and reinforce the party's position in the state.
