Political Clash in Nedumangad: Ambulance Torched, Vehicles Damaged in Fiery Fight

October 21, 2025

Things heated up in Nedumangad when workers from two political groups, the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) and the Communist Party of India (Marxist) or CPI(M), clashed fiercely. It all started on Sunday evening when SDPI activists allegedly attacked a local CPI(M) leader. This sparked tension and protests. But the drama didn’t stop there! Later that night, some masked troublemakers went wild, targeting houses belonging to SDPI workers. They also damaged an ambulance and a car owned by an SDPI activist. The situation was getting hotter by the minute. Things turned really serious early Monday morning. An ambulance run by the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), the youth wing of CPI(M), and parked near a government hospital was set on fire! This shocking act is suspected to be a revenge attack following the clashes. Police in Nedumangad are now digging deep to find out if these attacks are connected and to catch the culprits behind the fiery mess. They have also increased patrolling in the area to keep a close watch and stop any more violence from erupting. The entire town waits with bated breath, hoping for peace to return soon.
