Actor Karanvir Sharma is winning hearts not just on screen in The Trial: Pyaar Kaanoon Dhokha Season 2, but also in real life with a touching Bhai Dooj story. This year, he shared how the festival means so much more than rituals – it’s about feeling loved and at home. Karanvir says, "For me, Bhai Dooj has always symbolized the triumph of good over evil; a reminder of Lord Krishna’s victory over the tyrant Narakasura. But beyond mythology, it’s also about the blessings of my sisters for a long, prosperous life. Every year feels unique and special in its own way." You’d think a festival celebrating brothers and sisters needs you to have a real sister, right? Not for Karanvir! He reveals, "Although I don’t have a real sister, my Maasi and my neighbour have filled that space beautifully." Since childhood, they noticed he felt left out during the festivities. So from when he was in third standard, they tied him Rakhi. This sweet gesture remains one of his most cherished memories ever! For Karanvir, Bhai Dooj is a bouquet of little joys – the aarti, yummy mithai, giggles, and heaps of love. "True bonds aren’t defined by career or status, but by the effort we put into nurturing them," he says. His busy and unpredictable work life never stops him from making time for his sisters. The fun never stops either! "And the cutest part is they make me touch their feet right after the tilak and pooja and in return, I love sending them my quirky memes, that’s our fun little tradition," he laughs. Karanvir Sharma’s Bhai Dooj story is a beautiful reminder that family is not only about blood, but also about the love, laughter, and memories we create and treasure. This festival of brother-sister love shines brighter when we celebrate chosen family with all our hearts.
