2,448 BLOs Shine Bright With 100% Digitisation in Special Electoral Roll Revision!
November 27, 2025
In a fantastic display of dedication, 2,448 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) out of a total of 68,467 have successfully completed 100% distribution, collection, and digitisation of enumeration forms in their polling stations! This big feat is part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.
Chief Electoral Officer Archana Patnaik shared this exciting news on Wednesday. She praised the BLOs for their hard work and commitment, saying, “This recognition underscores the crucial role played by BLOs in safeguarding the accuracy and integrity of the electoral roll, and highlights their significant contribution to the electoral process.”
District Election Officers have also honoured these officers, appreciating their sharp focus and diligence. But who are these BLOs? They are the election team’s frontline heroes, appointed by the Election Commission. BLOs work directly with voters in each polling area, making sure the electoral rolls are accurate and up to date throughout the year.
They coordinate smoothly with BLO Supervisors, Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, and Electoral Registration Officers. This teamwork helps finish all election-related tasks on time and with precision. Thanks to their efforts, voters’ data is spot-on and ready for upcoming elections.
This achievement shows how important BLOs are in making Indian elections transparent and well-organised. Their hard work behind the scenes truly keeps democracy going strong!
