This amazing feat was revealed by Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Archana Patnaik on Wednesday. The District Election Officers didn't miss a beat and honoured these outstanding BLOs for their devotion and hard work. CEO Patnaik said, “This recognition underscores the crucial role played by BLOs in safeguarding the accuracy and integrity of the electoral roll, and highlights their significant contribution to the electoral process.” Isn't that a big win for democracy? Who are these BLO superheroes? They are the frontline warriors appointed by the Election Commission to keep the electoral rolls up-to-date and accurate. They connect directly with voters at each polling station, serving as the key bridge between the election administration and the public. But the job doesn’t stop there! These officers team up with BLO Supervisors, Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, and Electoral Registration Officers to make sure every task is done right and on time.
