Caught Red-Handed! Film Nagar Constable Nabbed for Stealing Fake Rolex During Search
November 29, 2025
In a jaw-dropping case from Film Nagar, a police constable was arrested for stealing a wristwatch right under his department's nose! The accused, Sriramula Sharan Kumar, works as a mobile driver at the Film Nagar police station and is attached to the CAR Headquarters. The cheeky theft happened on November 25, during a search at the home of a man suspected of cheating and forgery.
Guess what was stolen? A fake Rolex wristwatch! But don't be fooled – even a fake Rolex is precious enough to spark trouble. Kumar was officially assigned to videograph the search process. But here’s the twist: “Kumar had been assigned to videograph the procedure but was seen in footage quietly pocketing the watch without documenting it in the seizure memo,” said an official release. The sneaky act was caught on camera because another constable filmed the scene again, revealing Kumar’s mischief.
The second video broke the case wide open. It showed that Kumar “failed to follow his obligations over entrusted property,” exposing his wrongdoing. The police acted fast and registered a new case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Film Nagar police station. Kumar was arrested on November 28 after the police found enough evidence against him.
During interrogation, Kumar confessed he took the watch. Thanks to his admission, the fake Rolex was recovered from his home. This case serves as a spicy reminder: even those who uphold the law must not cross it!
The Film Nagar police continue working on this case, sending a loud message that no one is above the law, not even a police constable caught red-handed taking someone’s watch during an official duty.
