In Himachal Pradesh, the additional chief secretary (home and revenue), DGP, and Shimla SP have been asked to go on leave after a meeting with Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. The move follows a controversy sparked by the Shimla SP's press conference criticizing senior state government officials. The high court has handed over the probe into the death of HPPCL GM Vimal Negi to the CBI. Show-cause notices are expected to be issued to the officers. During their leave, temporary assignments have been made to ensure continuity in key roles.
