Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar, known for their films like Talaash and Gully Boy, have always valued the role of music in their creations. In a recent interview, Reema highlighted the significance of music in movies, mentioning how it contributes significantly to the overall experience. She expressed her eclectic taste in music and the influence of different genres on her mood. The duo, along with musician Ankur Tewari, recently unveiled their debut album, City Sessions. This album aims to bring artists together in a live studio environment, steering away from the digitalized music production prevalent today. City Sessions features six original tracks by Neel Adhikari, Pushan Kripalani, and Arijit Datta, promoting a more personal and collaborative approach to music creation. Ankur Tewari emphasized the need to reconnect with genuine storytelling through music in an age dominated by AI-generated content.
