The Maharashtra cabinet has given the green light to purchase the Air India Building in Mumbai’s Nariman Point to accommodate government offices. The state will pay Rs 1,601 crore for the acquisition, which is expected to save around Rs 200 crore in annual rent. The building, known for its iconic sea-facing location, provides 46,470 sq m of space across its 23 storeys.
