Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury expressed concern over the absence of the words ‘socialist’ and ‘secular’ in the new copies of the Constitution handed to politicians in the new Parliament building. The original Preamble of the Constitution included these words, added through an amendment in 1976. BJP claimed that the copies given were the original version and the words were added later.
