Meta has announced plans to release Llama 3, a large language model, to power their artificial intelligence assistants. Chief Product Officer Chris Cox revealed the company’s intentions to launch the model within the next month, with the aim of leveraging it across multiple products. Llama 3 is expected to address limitations in previous models and introduce new functionalities. Meta’s open-source approach with their Llama families sets them apart from others in the industry. However, some of their tools, like Emu, are still limited to select users.
