Congress approached the Election Commission seeking action against Gujarat assembly Speaker Shankar Chaudhary for violating the model code of conduct by canvassing for the BJP. They claimed that a constitutional post holder cannot campaign for a political party. Congress demanded immediate action against Chaudhary.
