Legislators in the U.S. have introduced a bill known as the AI Foundational Model Transparency Act, which would mandate creators of foundational AI models to report their sources of training data. The bill aligns with the Biden administration’s AI executive order and aims to establish rules for reporting training data transparency. This move comes in response to increasing lawsuits related to copyright infringement by companies training AI models.
The government will introduce the ‘Mera Bill Mera Adhikaar’ initiative to foster the practice of requesting bills for every purchase. The scheme will include two quarterly prizes worth Rs 1 crore each. The pilot phase will begin on September 1.
