The CAT III compliant status of Delhi Airport’s runway 29L has been restored after being downgraded to CAT I due to cranes interfering with the instrument landing system. The aviation minister, Jyotiraditya Scindia, announced the operationalization of the runway and issued Standard Operating Procedures to mitigate passenger inconvenience caused by fog-induced disruptions. ‘War Rooms’ will be set up to address any issues, and CISF manpower will be available round-the-clock.
