The vacant top position at the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) may soon get filled as cabinet secretary Rajiv Gauba interviews four potential candidates. The position has been vacant for over three months, and the interviews included two former secretaries.

India has extended the tenure of State Bank of India (SBI) Chairman, Dinesh Khara, until August 2024, as per sources. This move comes as a vote of confidence in Khara’s leadership and his contributions to the banking sector. Khara, who took charge as the chairman in October 2020, has been instrumental in leading SBI through challenging times and implementing key reforms.
