The Chicago Cubs have finalized a trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers, acquiring promising infield prospect Michael Busch. In addition, the Cubs have secured right-handed pitcher Yency Almonte to strengthen their bullpen. The Dodgers received minor league left-hander Jackson Ferris and outfielder Zyhir Hope in return. Busch, the Dodgers’ minor league player of the year in 2023, displayed outstanding offensive skills during his time with the Triple-A Oklahoma City, while Almonte brings experience and a strong track record to the Cubs’ bullpen.
