Hundreds of supporters of cleric Tauqeer Raza gathered in Bareilly’s Islamia ground to protest recent developments related to Gyanvapi mosque and Uttarakhand administration’s anti-encroachment operation. The situation turned tense as slogans were raised against the PM, UP CM, and Uttarakhand CM, leading to sporadic incidents of vandalism and injuries. Heavy security forces were deployed, and marketplaces in sensitive areas were closed. Cleric Tauqeer Raza, head of Ittehad-e-Millat Council, was briefly detained.
