Union Minister of State Rajeev Chandrasekhar is facing a case for making statements promoting enmity between different groups. The BJP criticized the action while the minister alleges it was registered to expose appeasement of Hamas by Rahul Gandhi and Pinarayi Vijayan. The FIR was filed by the Kerala police in connection with Chandrasekhar’s social media posts on the Kochi blasts and a Hamas leader’s virtual address at an Islamist event in Malappuram district. BJP Kerala chief, K Surendran, accused the government of supporting divisive forces.
