World-renowned Turkish composer and pianist Fazil Say’s concerts in Switzerland have been cancelled by organisers. The cancellation comes after Say made critical social media posts about Israeli policies in Gaza. Say was due to perform with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in Zurich, Bern, Geneva, and Lucerne. The concerts were organised by the event unit of the retail company Migros. Migros cited Say’s social media posts as the reason for his removal from the lineup.
