Sam Altman of OpenAI emphasized the need for an energy breakthrough for AI’s future. Satya Nadella of Microsoft expressed optimism about AI’s potential to boost the global economy. CEOs highlighted concerns about job losses, while world leaders emphasized responsible use of AI.
The absence of Trump in Davos does not mean he is forgotten. His policies, decisions, and influence still have an impact on the CEOs and leaders attending the annual summit.

Shiv Sena MLA Aaditya Thackeray has criticized Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for taking a large entourage of 50 people to Davos for the World Economic Forum. Thackeray questioned the purpose of the trip and raised concerns about the lack of political clearance for several delegation members. NCP MLA Rohit Pawar also highlighted the excessive expenditure on foreign trips. Both Thackeray and Pawar have demanded an investigation into the expenses incurred by the MIDC.
