The new terminal at Chennai airport, set to be completed in two years, will cater to both international and domestic passengers. The terminal is part of the phase 2 development of the integrated terminal to increase its size and capacity. Thiruvananthapuram International Airport is also undergoing renovations, and a new greenfield airport is planned in Parandur, Chennai.

Before the demolition of the Supertech Twin Towers in Noida, Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) went ahead with installment of six noise measurement machines in three of the closest places to the site- Parsvnath Prestige, Barat Ghar and the City Park. Before the demolition, the recorded ambient noise 49.5, 65.9 and 56.6 decibels; this escalated to 84.9, 101.2 (the highest) and 89.8 decibels during the demolition proceeding. A few machines installed nearer to the site will take further time to be collected.
