The Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) has expressed disagreement and disappointment with the Supreme Court verdict upholding the scrapping of Article 370. The Muslim organisation voiced concerns over the manner in which Article 370 was abrogated and the impact on the federal structure of the country. JIH called for the restoration of statehood in Jammu and Kashmir and urged the government to conduct free and fair elections in the region.
