The Maharashtra home department has instructed the Mumbai police commissioner to initiate a revised investigation into the death of celebrity PR manager Disha Salian. This decision comes following demands by Shiv Sena and BJP MLAs. The new probe will be conducted by senior inspector Chimaji Adhav under the guidance of DCP Ajay Bansal and additional commissioner Rajiv Jain. Disha Salian died on June 8, 2020, just a few days before the demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
