An unlicensed drug manufacturing facility was discovered in Khammam district in Telangana. The facility was uncovered by a special team of officers from Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) who raided the facility at Annarugudem village. The unit belonged to Aspen Biopharma and was found to be illegally manufacturing drugs. The officers seized pharmaceutical ingredients weighing 935 kgs, which are commonly used in the treatment of blood pressure, heart disease, and diabetes.
