IT hardware maker HP is focusing on gaming as a key category to boost sales in India. The gaming segment currently contributes 22-25% to HP’s overall consumer business, and the company aims to further expand it. Gaming has been the fastest growing segment in PC sales, with a 200% growth over the past two years. HP leads the gaming category with a 32% market share, followed by ASUS and Dell. The company recently launched a range of AI-enabled gaming laptops powered by Intel processors.
Nodwin Gaming, the Singapore unit of esports firm, has acquired game marketing agency Publishme for $2 million. Publishme, previously owned by Nazara Technologies, works with publishers and brands in the gaming industry. The acquisition will result in Publishme being renamed Nodwin Gaming in West Asia, with its founder becoming the chief executive of Nodwin Gaming Dubai.

The International 2023, Dota 2’s biggest competition, is returning to Seattle after being held in other cities. The tournament will be split into two phases, with group matches and playoffs taking place from October 12 to 22, and the finals on October 27-29. Ticket sales for the playoffs and finals have different release dates and prices. A total of 20 Dota 2 teams will compete for the championship title and a share of the prize pool. Last year’s winners, Tundra Esports, took home $8.5 million.
