The Centre has declared two factions of Muslim Conference Jammu and Kashmir, led by Haji Ghulam Nabi Sumji and Masrat Alam Bhat, as ‘unlawful associations’. They have been involved in activities against the sovereignty and integrity of the nation, including raising funds from Pakistan and advocating secession of J&K. The government aims to uproot terrorism and ensure dire consequences for anyone involved in unlawful activities.
