An IT professional from Aluva became a victim of an online trading scam. The cybercriminals promised high returns through online trading and convinced the victim to invest Rs 50 lakh. Cyber Crime Police Station (Rural) has registered a case, and it highlights the need for caution and awareness about such scams. Last year, more than 157 people in the district fell prey to cyberspace frauds, losing significant amounts of money.
