The Supreme Court has directed the Manipur government to take action against wrongdoing, regardless of its source. A three-member all-women judicial committee led by Justice (retd) Gita Mittal has been appointed to tackle compensation and rehabilitation for victims of violence. The Union home secretary has also been asked to convene a meeting with the committee.
