In a blow to the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Sita Soren, the party MLA from Dumka, has resigned, citing allegations of being sidelined alongside her family. Soren, who is also the sister-in-law of former chief minister Hemant Soren, expressed her grievances in a resignation letter to party chief Shibu Soren. She stated that the party failed to provide support to her and her family after her husband’s demise. Sita also expressed disappointment in the party’s accommodation of individuals whose principles do not align with its ethos.
