AAP MP Sanjay Singh has demanded action against officials and Ministers in Gujarat for an alleged excess payment made to Adani Power Mundra Limited (APMuL) under two power purchase agreements. The Gujarat government denies the allegations of excess payment and claims that the payment made was only interim. Singh has called for a probe into the corruption and is questioning the lack of action by investigative agencies such as the ED and CBI. It is alleged that Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) paid Adani Power approximately ₹13,802 crore between October 2018 and March 2023 without any invoice or supporting documents for coal procurement.

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) has acquired an under-development transmission project from Megha Engineering & Infrastructures (MEIL) for an undisclosed amount. The project aims to implement the KPS1-Khavda PS GIS (KPS2) 765 kV double circuit line and augmentation of Khavda PS1. AESL’s strategy for enhancing value for its shareholders is through organic and inorganic opportunities. The company is developing a 20-gigawatt hybrid renewable energy park in Khavda, Gujarat.
After the sudden collapse of the British-era century old standing Morbi Bridge in Gujarat, crowds of people on-board the bridge were captured falling in the waters below. New bodies, now ranging to 134, have been found in the Machchhu River so far, with search parties still going. The bridge was recently re-opened after renovation, without the fitness certificate of the local municipalities though. An investigation pertaining to FIR on sections 304, 308 and 114 is currently in action to find the culprits. Cancelling PM Modi’s rally, government has offered ₹4 lakh to affected families.
