Tata Motors announces the construction of a state-of-the-art vehicle manufacturing facility in Ranipet, Tamil Nadu. The plant, the second in southern India, will create around 5,000 job opportunities. The investment strengthens Tamil Nadu’s position as the automobile capital of India, reminiscent of Hyundai’s transformative impact on the region during Kalaignar’s tenure.
The Hyundai Creta facelift will officially launch in the Indian market on January 16, 2023. The test mule has revealed some design changes, including split vertical LED headlamps and a new grille design. The interior is expected to receive minimal changes, with the addition of a 360-degree camera and ADAS suite. The facelift will be powered by a 1.5-litre NA turbo-petrol engine and is expected to cost more than the current-gen Creta.
Hyundai and Kia are issuing recalls for over 600,000 vehicles in Canada and nearly 3.4 million vehicles in the US due to the risk of engine compartment fires. The affected models include various car and SUV models from 2010 to 2019. Owners are advised to park their vehicles outside until the necessary repairs are completed.
