With the 75th Independence Day coming in close vicinity, the security agencies, involving higher posts commanders, of the nation had a meeting on call of Kathua SSP Ramesh Kotwal on Tuesday. The SSP, while requesting the Army for force, commanded on actions of joint patrolling, drone observing and anti-tunnel exercises across international border, meanwhile increasing inter-state border check-ups and security. On the occasion, he emphasized upon staying vigilant of any infiltration, drone-dropping and anti-national occurrences.
BJP heads on to record August 14 as ‘Vibhajan Vivishika Diwas’ in remembrance of the Partition horrors, committing to put together a program on the date in Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium. This event will invite BJP leaders, affected families by the Partition and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Two prime events will be a silent march honouring affected or deceased families, and an open stage for speakers who are well versed in the history of Partition. The party prepares for further events pertaining to ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
