The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has compulsorily retired an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer in public interest due to the officer’s alleged lack of integrity and ineffectiveness. The officer, Rinku Dugga, who belongs to the AGMUT cadre of the IAS and joined the service in 1994, was retired two months ago. The retirement was issued under the provision of Fundamental Rules (FR) 56(j)/(l), Rule 48 of Central Civil Services (CCS) Pension Rules, 1972.
