Parliament’s ethics committee has summoned Mahua Moitra after hearing the testimonies of Nishikant Dubey and Jai Anant Dehadrai in the ‘cash for query’ allegations. The committee has asked Moitra to record her statement on October 31 and has sought details from the ministries of home affairs and IT. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey expressed confidence and stated that the proceedings pertained to Moitra’s conduct. This is the first meeting of the ethics committee to address the allegations against Moitra.
