Actress Sharmila Tagore received the Imtiaz-e-Jamia award from Jamia Millia Islamia for her contribution to Hindi Cinema. She expressed her emotions about being in the public eye for 60 years and thanked the university for the honor. Tagore also inaugurated the varsity’s centenary gate. The highest award of Jamia Millia Islamia is given to recognize Indians’ contributions to society.
