Police in Bengaluru conducted a raid on 5,000 commercial establishments, including wine stores, bars, restaurants, tea stalls, and bakeries, booking over 3,000 cases under different laws. They booked cases under the Karnataka Police Act, Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act, Juvenile Justice Act, and the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. Additionally, traffic police checked vehicles and arrested 196 motorists for drunk driving. This action was taken in response to public complaints.
