Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd, a Kolkata-based speciality chemicals major, is investing Rs 220 crores to expand its speciality carbon black capacity in West Bengal. The expansion project aims to meet the growing demand from Europe, especially with the upcoming ban on Russian carbon black imports in the EU. The expansion will increase the company’s speciality carbon black capacity to 1.3 lakh tonnes per annum.
