Polish farmers have ended their blockade of one of the border crossings between Ukraine and Poland and the movement of lorries has been fully restored, according to the Ukrainian border service. The protest action ended at 9:30 a.m. Kyiv time on Sunday. The farmers initially joined the truck drivers’ protest, demanding government subsidies for corn and no tax hikes. The Ukrainian government hopes to reach an agreement with the new Polish government to end the truck blockades at the border crossings.
