The Nifty Auto index traded negative in a weak market. Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd. were among the top gainers, while Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., Ashok Leyland Ltd., Balkrishna Industries Ltd., Bharat Forge Ltd., and Tube Investments of India Ltd. were the top losers. The Nifty Auto index was down, and the NSE Nifty50 and BSE Sensex were also down. Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, JP Power, YES Bank, and Indian Railway Fin were among the most traded shares.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.56% down at 15011.8. Shares of Granules India Ltd., Gland Pharma Ltd., GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Biocon Ltd., and Sanofi India Ltd. ended as top gainers, while Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Zydus Lifesciences Ltd., Abbott India Ltd., Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd., and Natco Pharma Ltd. finished as the top losers.
Power shares closed higher in Monday’s session, with SJVN, Jaiprakash Power Ventures, and Suzlon Energy among the top gainers. The NSE Nifty50 index ended with a gain of 40.25 points at 19,306.05, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 110.09 points at 64,996.6. Power Grid Corporation of India, Larsen & Toubro, and Mahindra & Mahindra were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
Sugar shares closed higher in the Tuesday’s session, while Nifty and BSE Sensex closed slightly up. Adani Enterprises, HDFC Life Insurance, and ITC were among the top gainers. Bharat Petroleum Corporation, Cipla, and Bajaj Finserv closed in the red.
