The special investigation team (SIT) has announced a helpline number for victims of sexual assault to complain about Hassan NDA candidate Prajwal Revanna, who is wanted for charges of sexual assault on women. The police are keeping a watch at all airports in the state for the MP who has flown overseas. AICC general secretary RS Surjewala announced that Karnataka government would provide financial assistance to victims of sexual assault. JDS MLA HD Revanna, also an accused in a case of sexual assault, has applied for bail with a hearing scheduled for Tuesday.

The Bombay High Court has sought assistance from Maharashtra’s Advocate General on the legal issues pertaining to Rahul Gandhi’s defamation petition. The high court also extended the interim relief granted to Gandhi. The court noted that the case raises important questions of law and scheduled further hearing for October 17.
