Hundreds of Manipur police commandos protested against the abduction and assault of an additional SP and the indiscriminate firing by unidentified gunmen. The officers demanded swift action against the attackers, and Manipur CM N Biren Singh presented a vote-on-account, anticipating a tax loss of around Rs 800 crore due to the state’s unrest.
