Food items and medicines are delivered to the remote areas of rain-battered Mandi district in Himachal Pradesh with the help of Air Force helicopters. The district has experienced widespread destruction and deaths due to heavy rains and landslides. Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur visits affected areas and requests the state Chief Minister to arrange rations for the affected people.
