The widow of UP BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai described the death of Mukhtar Ansari, the gangster-turned-politician who had killed her husband in 2005, as a blessing from God. Ansari died after suffering cardiac arrest in Banda jail. Alka Rai said it is a blessing and they always prayed for justice, which they received.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has not found any violation under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) during the inquiry of Paytm Payments Bank Limited (PPBL) transactions. RBI has the authority to take action against non-compliance instances. The ED looked into the transactions for FEMA violations while ruling out money laundering investigation.
