Infosys Foundation has committed a grant of Rs 33 crore to strengthen the cybercrime investigation capabilities of the Karnataka police. The foundation has renewed its collaboration with CCITR through an MoU with the CID of Karnataka and DSCI. The collaboration aims to enhance the prosecution of cybercrime cases, provide training for police staff, and foster collaboration with national and international organizations in the digital forensics domain.
The consumer commission in Mumbai has ordered Axis Bank and New India Assurance to pay an insurance claim of Rs 30 lakh with interest to a policeman who suffered permanent disabilities in an accident in 2017. The commission found that the claimant’s insurance claim was arbitrarily rejected and repudiated. The bank and insurance company were in agreement to provide insurance cover to police personnel as per the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the bank and the Mumbai Police. The commission also directed the payment of compensation for mental agony and litigation costs.
Tata Motors announces the construction of a state-of-the-art vehicle manufacturing facility in Ranipet, Tamil Nadu. The plant, the second in southern India, will create around 5,000 job opportunities. The Uttarakhand Government delegation signed investment MoUs worth Rs 3550 crore with various industrial groups in Abu Dhabi. Chief Minister Dhami invited industrial houses for the upcoming Uttarakhand Global Investor Summit in Dehradun. Investment MoUs worth Rs 15,475 crore have been signed in the UAE in total. The Chief Minister also participated in a program organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in Abu Dhabi.
