MNS chief Raj Thackeray is in talks with BJP regarding a Lok Sabha seat. However, it is speculated that he may not be offered a seat but accommodated for state and civic elections. In return, Thackeray will campaign for Mahayuti during the Lok Sabha elections.

The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) has informed the Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court that it will take legal and criminal action against Facebook and its owner, Meta, if they do not remove advertisements for the sale of nylon manja from their page Marketplace. Maharashtra has banned nylon manja, but illegal sales continue. The court has allowed the amicus to add the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and the Union consumer affairs ministry as respondents in the case.

Manoj Jarange Patil, a pro-Maratha quota activist, accused prominent OBC leader Chhagan Bhujbal of creating a rift among communities. Patil questioned if the provocative language used at Bhujbal’s rallies was the government’s policy on Maratha reservation. He emphasized that the Marathas would ensure they get the reservation and criticized the minister for disturbing peace. The issue will be discussed during the Winter Session of the Maharashtra legislature.
