The Bombay High Court has denied the request for medical termination of the pregnancy of a 15-year-old sexual assault survivor. The court cited the risk to the girl’s life and the potential long-term neurological complications for the baby if born alive as reasons for the decision. The pregnancy was beyond the legal limit for termination. The court allowed the mother to approach the court in case of any difficulties post-delivery.
