Russia’s parliament will vote on suspending the country’s participation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation (OSCE) on Feb 21. The OSCE has been largely paralysed due to Russia’s ongoing use of veto power. Duma speaker Vyacheslav Volodin stated that Russia wants to say goodbye to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly as it lacks independence and is politicized.
