The Kshatriya community in Gujarat has announced plans to field 400 candidates against Union minister and BJP’s Rajkot Lok Sabha seat candidate Parshottam Rupala in the upcoming elections. This move is part of a drive called ‘Operation Rupala’ launched by core committees of various Kshatriya associations. The community is protesting against Rupala for his controversial comments about the maharajas acquiescing to persecution by foreign rulers and the British.

Union Minister Parshottam Rupala has reviewed the progress of the Assam Dairy Development Plan (ADDP) implemented by North East Dairy and Foods Limited. Rupala visited the West Assam Milk Producers’ Cooperative Union Ltd and reviewed the activities being done by WAMUL. He emphasised on activities like silage-making and paddy straw utilisation, while highlighting the importance of manure management and beekeeping. Rupala was also updated about the commissioning works of Purabi Dairy expansion project.
