Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) aims to increase its fuel retail network by 14,273 pumps to strengthen its position in the growing domestic fuel market. The company, which currently operates a quarter of the country’s petrol pumps, recorded a profit of ₹19,052 crore for the April-September period.
Petrol pump operators in Rajasthan are going on a two-day strike to demand a reduction in diesel prices. The strike is in response to the difference in diesel prices in Rajasthan compared to other states. The operators appeal to the Chief Minister to reduce prices for uniformity in sales. All petrol pumps in the state will remain closed during the strike.
